    Reread the target contest's AI policy and length requirement. Check the cards for today's scene.

    Draft one scene

    Aim for a single scene. If stuck, look at a continuation, but if the rules forbid AI, write without suggestions.

    Run notes for POV, pacing and continuity and fix the highest-priority items first.

FAQ

Before you start

  • Can I submit AI-assisted work to contests?

    Read the rules first. Munpia's contest states generative AI is not permitted, and several Korean literary prizes added AI bans in 2025. Many English-language contests and magazines have similar clauses. Do not submit AI-drafted work where it is banned; in those cases use SparkLore only for organizing notes and structure checks, or not at all.

  • Do I own AI-assisted writing?

    Copyright in AI-generated text is decided differently by country and case, and is still being settled. The more you write and revise yourself, the stronger your claim. SparkLore assists drafting and revision; copyright and responsibility remain yours.

  • How far does the free plan go?

    Free credits and one project on sign-up. Story bible, notes and export all work on the free plan. Free tool pages allow a few uses a day without logging in.

  • How do I confirm the length requirement?

    For example, the 2026 Munpia × Naver contest required at least 30 episodes or 120,000 characters. Use the counters in episode mode, then recount by the contest's own definition.

  • What happens after I finish?

    Export DOCX for submissions or TXT for serial platforms. Exports cost nothing and you can take the whole project at once.

This is the most important section. Plainly:

  • Drafting with AI for a contest or prize that forbids it. Munpia's rule reads, in translation, that because there is no social consensus on the copyright of generative-AI output, generative AI use including web novels and illustrations is not permitted; entries are excluded or awards revoked.
  • Submitting AI drafts where publishers require an AI-detection report. Cases have been reported.
  • Wanting the writing done for you. The first book has to be yours or there is no second.
